The Arc of Loudoun works tirelessly to give a voice to disability advocacy issues. This includes building strong relationships and collaborating with other non-profits and government agencies. The Arc of Loudoun collaborates in system-level advocacy activities at the local, state and national level. Everything we do is to ensure a just, equitable world for people with disabilities.

Local Advocacy & Representation
The Arc of Loudoun actively champions disability rights through leadership and collaboration in key community groups. Our staff ensures that individuals with disabilities have a voice in shaping local policies, programs, and initiatives.
Founded by The Arc of Loudoun
- Loudoun County Community Action Team – Share resources and collaborates to better support individuals and families that we serve. Founded by The Arc of Loudoun.
- Loudoun Disability and Justice Coalition (LD&JC) – The first Disability & Justice Coalition in Virginia, working to equip criminal justice professionals with the tools needed to serve people with disabilities effectively.
- A Seat at The Table – Advocates for increased vocational training, employment opportunities, housing, day programs, and social inclusion for adults with disabilities that’s demanding meaningful action from local leaders.
Advocacy Through Collaboration:
- The Loudoun County Human Trafficking Response Team (HART) – Committed to targeting and dismantling the sex and labor human trafficking networks that operate in the county, and to provide support services and resources to victims.
- Loudoun Re-Entry Advisory Council (L-RAC) – Promotes public safety and reduce recidivism with justice-involved individuals through collaboration with community stakeholders. Supports the best outcomes by sharing resources, programs, and community investment to transition individuals into our communities.
- Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce / DEIA Committee – The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) committee’s mission is to cultivate an equitable and inclusive business environment in Loudoun County modeling DEIA principles that advance education, economic growth, and innovation.
- Loudoun County Human Services Network – A coalition of nonprofit organizations working through advocacy and collaboration to ensure the availability and access to human services for Loudoun County residents
